Excellent experience, delicious food. The halibut and flourless chocolate cake were perfectly executed. Special thanks to Patrick, who went above and beyond to make my dining experience enjoyable and memorable - very professional, welcoming, and gave great recommendations. Thank you Patrick!! 5 stars, will definitely come back
Amazing and delicious. Great service and very kind staff. The dishes although strange to me at first were surprisingly delicious and perfect size. I tried the beef tartar, mini bacon wraps, mini sandwiches, steak and a pasta. Also tried their cake which I do not recommend as it was not tasty at all. Very dry, lacked any semblance of a cake except for the shape. I would describe it more so as an oily bread. Otherwise the main dishes were all super flavorful and yummy and I will definitely be back for those.
Hands down my new favorite restaurant in nyc. Price is super fair for what you are getting. Beyond the wonderful service and lovely atmosphere, you are getting fresh high quality ingredients. I am rarely impressed anymore when I eat in Manhattan because I feel like the ingredients don’t seem fresh, that is not the case with Il Buco. The kale Caesar salad is iconic for a reason, super flavorful and the vegetables are so tasty. To drink I had a strawberry spritz which was fabulous. We had the lasagnette and the spaghetti with lobster. Both pasta dishes were PERFECT. Each dish has deliberately crafted ingredients that come together in such a nice way. Then, we had steak and a baby chicken with stone fruit. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chicken was delicious. One again, the vegetables also really shine in all of these dishes because of the freshness. We finished with some cheesecake, chocolate cake and some complementary sorbet (it was my birthday). Our server was lovely, and it was a perfect meal. With an ever changing menu, I can’t wait to come back to try again. Probably the best meal I’ve had in years.
Good food and nice service! Food was delicious, but the cooking was unfortunately not even. Many of us eat a steak and some got well done when they ordered medium rare. I was lucky to get a perfectly cooked steak and it was fantastic. Otherwise I can really recommend this place.
Excellent food and service. We went for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was packed! We did manage to sit at the bar, regardless. We had the salmon and a yellow gazpacho; both plates were delicious. I did not particularly like the lentils in combination with the salmon? But the fish was cooked to perfection! I also had a glass of white wine. Would definitely recommend this place!
We have not been here in over a decade. We usually go to Il Buco Alimentari around the corner. It was a good spot for a 92 year old's birthday. She was happy. It did get a bit loud but we could still hear each other The breads are amazing. The waitress was lovely and gracious. Lovely olive oils. It's worth buying some from their store around the corner. I loved sitting next to the fresh vegetables! The food was fine. Compared to many of the places I've eaten in lately it wasn't dazzling, but it hit the spot. I think I like their other place better. I don't know if it's the same chef.
